Presidential Leadership Council discusses developments in local situations , warns Houthi militias

Presidential Leadership Council held a meeting today, Thursday, chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, President of the Council with his fellow members, Aidarus al-Zoubaidi, Sultan al-Aradah, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Muharami, and Othman Mujali, and Faraj al-Bahsani, while Council member Dr. Abdullah al- Alimi was in excused absence.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Council congratulated the Yemeni people and the Islamic nation on the eve  of the new Islamic year, praying that it will bring victory, goodness, and peace.

The Council also congratulated the people of Al-Mahra Governorate on the inauguration of flights through Al-Ghaydah International Airport, praising in this context the efforts of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister., which contributed to the rehabilitation of this important national facility that will stimulate investment activities and alleviate the suffering of citizens caused by the Iran- backed Houthi militias.

The meeting discussed latest developments in the national arena, particularly topical issues relating to the economic, financial and services status quo in the interim capital Aden and liberated governorates.  The Council also discussed coordinated efforts with the government and local authorities to maintain the achieved indicators of relative stability during the past period."

The Council emphasized the importance of securing the sufficient quotas of fuels to operate the electricity supplies, urging bolstering the role of the monitoring authorities to handle the deficiencies in the vital services sector.

The Presidential Council has confirmed its commitment along with the government to fulfill their obligations to boost the monetary and financial stability, improve the capacities of the State to access its public revenues and go on the comprehensive reforms backed by the international community.

The Council has reassured the citizens that necessary measures to be taken to ensure fulfilling the government's obligations to keep regular payments of the salaries and necessary funds to import basic commodities with support from the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

The Council also discussed the developments of the regional and international efforts to renew the truce and revive the political process under the regional and international agreed references to ensure eliminating the Houthi militias' coup, restore the State's institutions, establish security, stability, development and peace all over the country. 

The Presidential Leadership Council has warned the Houthi militias of the consequences of its continuing military attacks and grave violations of human rights. The Council praised the role of the armed forces, the popular resistance and their high readiness to deter any escalation or adventures aimed at undermining the peace opportunities that the council and the government are dealing with positively, as part of their intensive efforts to alleviate the humanitarian suffering caused by these fascist militias.

The Council called on the international community to abandon its silence toward the Houthi militias' intransigence, act to respond to the Yemeni people's desires to establish its modern statehood, ensures its exclusive right to control power, ensures the participation of the whole Yemenis in making the bright future that they deserve .
