President Al-Alimi receives businessmen in Hadhramaut Governorate

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received at the Republican Palace in the city of Mukalla today, Wednesday, the leadership of the Hadhramaut Chamber of Commerce and Industry, headed by Omar Abdulrahman Bajrash, and a number of businessmen in the governorate, in the presence of Mabkhout bin Madi, the Governor.
The President of the Presidential Leadership Council stressed the importance of the meeting with the leadership of the Hadhramaut Chamber of Commerce and Industry, noting their efforts, humanitarian and development interventions in light of the unjust war conditions sparked by the terrorist Houthi militias with the support of the Iranian regime.
His Excellency added, "We are proud of the role of the private sector in alleviating the humanitarian and service conditions, especially in the education and health sectors, and securing the market share of basic commodities. We look forward to doubling your investments in various areas that are most needed in light of the great financial pressures facing state institutions."
His Excellency the President presented the financial challenges facing the government and their repercussions on the state's public finances and its investment program, which has been halted in many sectors, especially after the terrorist Houthi militias' attacks on oil facilities in Hadhramout Governorate.
In this context, the President praised the support of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, in addition to their continuous initiatives to help the government overcoming these conditions.
The President of the Leadership Council pointed out that the government is working on a matrix to support the capabilities of the local authority in Hadhramaut Governorate, where the private sector is at the heart of this promising matrix, God willing. He expressed his hope that this governorate will be a vital economic center based on its exceptional components and its ancient cultural heritage in the financial and business sector.
The President stressed the state's keenness to maximize the leading role of the private sector in the development process, raise operation rates, economic recovery, and address the problems it faces. Whether in terms of navigation services, or work with single window systems to facilitate access to services away from centralization and excessive bureaucracy.
The President of the Presidential Leadership Council was briefed by the leadership of the Hadhramaut Chamber of Commerce and Industry and businessmen on the priorities of the business community in the governorate and its honorable national investments, and the support required to facilitate its activities, protect industrial products and enhance their competitive capabilities.
The meeting was attended by Eng. Omar Al-Amoudi and Mr. Badr Basalmah, the advisors to the President of the Leadership Council, and Major General Saleh Al-Maqalih, the Director of the Office of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council.
