President Al-Alimi receives cable of congratulations from Russian President on National Day

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received a congratulatory cable from H.E. Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, on the occasion of the 34th National Day of the Republic of Yemen May 22.

In the congratulatory cable, President Putin said "I would like to convey to you my heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of Yemen’s National Day, which is Unity Day."

He added "further development of ‏bilateral relations serves the fundamental interests of the Russian and Yemeni peoples, and aims to strengthen security and stability in the Middle East." 

The Russian President wished the President of the Presidential Leadership Council health and success, and the Yemeni people a swift return to peaceful and safe life.
