President Al-Alimi receives cable of congratulations from Indian President on Yemen’s National Day

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received a congratulatory cable from Her Excellency President Droupadi Murmu of the friendly Republic of India, on the occasion of the 34th National Day of the Republic of Yemen, May 22.

In her congratulatory cable, the Indian President stated "'On my own behalf, the Government and people of India, I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations and warmest wishes to Your Excellency, the Government and people of Yemen, on the occasion of your National Day.'"

She added: "India is so proud of the centuries-old relations with Yemen, which reflect the deep-rooted ties between the peoples of our countries. We remain committed to further strengthening our relationship across various fields, and look forward to even greater cooperation in the years ahead.

I would like to take the opportunity to express India's hope that peace and stability will prevail in Yemen, in order to achieve progress and prosperity for its people. Moreover, we support all efforts and initiatives in this regard, and hope they will yield fruitful results.'"
