
President Al- Alimi offers condolences over the death of former minister and struggler Sheikh Saeed Al-Akbari

His Excellency, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, has sent a cable of condolences and sympathy to the family of the former Minister of Local Administration, Sheikh Saeed Omar Barjaf Al-Akbari, who passed away after a life full of struggle and honourable national contributions .
The President of the Presidential Leadership Council expressed, on his own behalf, the members of the Council and the government, deep sorrow and sincere condolences to the family and tribe of Sheikh Al-Akbari on their painful loss. His Excellency praised the deceased virtues and his immortal pioneering role at all levels. Sheikh Al-Akbari was one of the leading revolutionary strugglers in the glorious October 14 Revolution. President Al- Alimi also praised the late sheikh’s great contributions in serving his country and people during holding many leadership positions, including his role as Local Administration Minister, for the first government after People's Republic of Southern Yemen gained independence on November 30, 1967.
His Excellency the President stressed that, with the passing of Sheikh Al-Akbari, the country has lost one of its loyal men who left their distinctive marks on national struggle for freedom and independence. The president asked Allah Almighty to bestow His mercy on the deceased, to dwell him in his vast paradise and to inspire his family and loved ones with patience and solace.
