President Al-Alimi Offers Condolences on Passing of Former King of Norway

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, sent a cable of condolences to His Majesty King Haakon VIII, King of the Kingdom of Norway, on the passing of his father, His Majesty King Harald V. The late king passed away after a lifetime of dedicated service to his people, the advancement of his country, and strengthening its international standing.

On behalf of himself, the members of the Presidential Leadership Council, and the Government, President Al-Alimi expressed his sincere condolences to His Majesty King Haakon VIII, the royal family, and the friendly Norwegian people over this painful loss. He prayed that Almighty Allah protect Norway and its people from all evil and harm.
