President Al-Alimi Offers Condolences to Emperor of Japan over Kumamoto Earthquake Victims

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, sent a cable of condolences and sympathy to His Majesty Emperor Naruhito of Japan over the victims of the earthquake that struck Kumamoto Prefecture in southwestern Japan. The devastating earthquake resulted in a number of deaths and injuries.

On behalf of himself, the members of the Presidential Leadership Council, and the Government, President Al-Alimi expressed his profound sorrow and sincere condolences to His Majesty Emperor Naruhito, the families of the victims, and the Japanese people.

He wished the injured a speedy recovery, expressed his hope for the safe return of those missing, and prayed that Japan and its people be spared all evil and harm.
