President Al-Alimi Offers Condolences on Passing of Shura Council Member Sheikh Ali Baghaythan

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, sent a cable of condolences and sympathy to the family of the late eminent scholar Sheikh Ali bin Salem Baghaythan, Member of the Shura Council and Chairman of the Fatwa Council in Wadi Hadhramaut. The distinguished religious scholar passed away after a lifetime of dedicated service in the fields of religious preaching and the teaching of Islamic sciences.

On behalf of himself, the members of the Presidential Leadership Council, and the Government, President Al-Alimi expressed his profound sorrow over the passing of Sheikh Baghaythan, saying: “He was one of the foremost scholars of Islamic preaching and a distinguished authority in Islamic jurisprudence and the science of inheritance. Under whose guidance a large number of scholars, preachers, and religious mentors were educated.”

His Excellency the President praised the deceased’s distinguished virtues and his rich legacy of service to his faith and homeland. He further commended his moderate approach to Islamic preaching, which embraced the values of coexistence, moderation, tolerance, and reconciliation. He prayed to Almighty Allah to bestow His vast mercy and forgiveness upon the deceased and to inspire his family and loved ones with patience and solace.
