President Al-Alimi Offers Condolences to Emir of Qatar on Passing of His Father

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, sent a cable of condolences and sympathy today, Sunday, to his brother, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar. The cable was sent on the passing of His Highness the late Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

In the cable, President Al-Alimi said: “With hearts that believe in Allah’s decree and destiny, my fellow members of the Presidential Leadership Council and the Government, and the Yemeni people, and I received with profound sorrow the news of the passing of your father, His Highness the late Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. With his passing, the Arab and Islamic nations have lost one of their most prominent historic leaders, who held great and honorable positions in defending the causes and achievements of the nation at all levels.”

His Excellency the president added: “As we extend to Your Highness, the esteemed ruling family, and the brotherly Qatari people our sincere condolences and deepest sympathy, we pray to Almighty Allah to bestow His vast mercy upon the great deceased leader, grant him eternal rest in Paradise, and protect you and your dear country from all evil and harm . Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.”
