President Al-Alimi Receives Cable of Congratulations from President of France on National Day

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received a cable of congratulations from His Excellency Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic. The telegram was sent on the occasion of the 36th National Day of the Republic of Yemen, 22 May.
In his cable, the French President stated: “On the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Yemen, I extend to you and to the entire Yemeni people my best wishes for peace, stability, and prosperity.”
President Macron reaffirmed France’s full support for Yemen in contributing to the restoration of stability sought by the Yemeni people. He stressed that France is playing its full role in mobilizing the international community to support the Presidential Leadership Council in this regard.
He added: “I hope that your efforts to ensure Yemen’s security and unity will continue, and I commend your determination to reach a just and lasting political solution for your country. This is the only solution that will end the ongoing conflict, of which the Yemeni people remain the primary victims.”
