President Al-Alimi Receives Cable of Congratulations from President of Sri Lanka on Yemen’s National Day

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received a cable of congratulations from His Excellency President Anura Kumara Dissanayake of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. The telegram was sent on the occasion of the 36th National Day of the Republic of Yemen, May 22.

President Dissanayake expressed his sincere congratulations and best wishes to the President of the Presidential Leadership Council for good health and well-being, and wished the Yemeni people peace, progress, and prosperity.

He noted that Sri Lanka and Yemen enjoy long-standing friendly relations based on shared values and mutual understanding. He expressed his full confidence that these friendly relations and close cooperation between the two friendly countries will witness further strengthening and consolidation in the coming years.
