President Al-Alimi Offers Condolences on Passing of Egyptian Struggler Maj. Gen. Kamal Madbouly

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, sent a cable of condolences and sympathy to Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, on the passing of his father, the veteran struggler Major General Kamal Madbouly Mohammed Nassar, following a life devoted to serving his country, people, and nation in the military field.

The President, on his own behalf and on behalf of the members of the Council and the government, expressed his sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to Dr. Madbouly and all members of his family over this painful loss.

President Al-Alimi praised the late Major General’s distinguished career marked by great sacrifices and dedication, including his military service in Yemen in defense of the republican system against the defunct Imamate rule, as well as his honorable stances in support of the Yemeni people in confronting the new theocratic project. He affirmed that the Arab Republic of Egypt and the nation have lost, with his passing, one of their loyal leaders who inscribed enduring epics and contributed to the historic victory of the Glorious Sixth of October.

The President also commended Major General Madbouly’s notable roles in defending the republican system in Yemen, praying that Almighty God bestow His vast mercy and forgiveness upon him, and grant his family patience and solace.
