Republican Decrees Appoint Governors for Lahj, Abyan, and Al-Dhalea

Republican decrees were issued today appointing governors for the governorates of Lahj, Abyan, and Al-Dhalea.
Republican Decree No. (7) of 2026 stipulated in Article (1) the appointment of Mr. Murad Ali Mohammed Abdulhai Al-Halimi as Governor of Lahj Governorate.
Republican Decree No. (8) of 2026 stipulated in Article (1) the appointment of Dr. Mukhtar bin Al-Khidr Al-Rabbash Al-Haithami Al-Maysari as Governor of Abyan Governorate.
Republican Decree No. (9) of 2026 stipulates the appointment of Brigadier General Ahmed Qaed Saleh Qassem Al-Qobba as Governor of Al-Dhalea Governorate, Commander of the Al-Dhalea Axis, and Commander of the National Security Forces in the governorate, with promotion to the rank of Major General.
Article (2) of the decrees stipulates that the decrees shall enter into force as of the date of their issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette.

The newly appointed governors of Lahj, Murad Al-Halmi; Abyan, Dr. Mukhtar Al-Rubash, and Al-Dhalea, Major General Ahmed Al-Qubba, took the constitutional oath today, Saturday, before His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi
