Governor of Hadhramaut Sworn In Before President of Presidential Leadership Council

Mr. Saeed Ahmed Salem Al-Khanbashi was sworn in today, Saturday, before His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, at Al-Maashiq Palace. The ceremony followed his appointment as Governor of Hadhramaut Governorate.

After taking the oath of office, the President met with the new governor in the presence of Prime Minister Salem Saleh bin Buraik. The meeting focused on priorities for the coming phase. These include restoring normal conditions in the governorate and meeting the aspirations of its people for security, stability, and development.

The President reaffirmed that Hadhramaut remains at the forefront of the state’s priorities. He stressed the implementation of vital projects, especially in the electricity sector. He also emphasized empowering the people of Hadhramaut to participate effectively in decision-making at both local and national levels.

His Excellency expressed confidence in the people of Hadhramaut and their political and civil forces. He praised their support for local authorities in improving conditions and maintaining the governorate as a model of security, stability, and rule of law.

The President, members of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government also expressed deep appreciation for the support Hadhramaut receives from the Arab Coalition, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates at all levels.

The President urged the local authority to strengthen broad partnerships with political and social components. He called for keeping the governorate away from tensions and internal disputes. He stressed the importance of safeguarding security and stability. He called for focusing on development and easing the suffering of citizens. He also highlighted the governorate’s key role in the national equation, reaffirmed its importance in efforts to restore state institutions and end the Iran-backed Houthi coup.
