President Al-Alimi Receives Cables of Congratulations from Secretary-General of Arab League on National Day

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received a cable of congratulations from Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, on the occasion of the 35th National Day of the Republic of Yemen, May 22.

In the cable, Aboul Gheit stated, "It is my honor to extend to Your Excellency my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Yemen. I pray to Allah Almighty to protect and bless you, and to restore this occasion to Your Excellency with abundant health and happiness, and to the dear Yemeni people with further progress and lasting prosperity under your wise leadership."

He added, "I am confident that Your Excellency will continue, with unwavering competence and wisdom, your efforts to achieve a political solution to the Yemeni crisis—one that fulfills the aspirations of the Yemeni people and upholds Yemen’s national interests."

Mr. Aboul Gheit reaffirmed the Arab League’s commitment to mobilizing all its resources to cooperate with Yemen and its government in efforts aimed at ensuring advancement, progress, and prosperity for Yemen and the broader Arab nation.
