President Al-Alimi Congratulates New Chancellor of Germany

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, sent a cable of congratulations to Mr. Friedrich Merz, Chancellor of Germany, on the formation of the new government and taking the oath of office as Federal Chancellor of the friendly Republic of Germany.

On behalf of himself, the Council members, and the government, the President expressed his sincere congratulations and best wishes to the German Chancellor for his good health, happiness, and success in his new duties. His Excellency further expressed his wishes for continued prosperity and progress for the friendly government and people of Germany.

President Al-Alimi expressed Yemen’s aspiration to work closely with the Chancellery and the new German government to further advance the distinguished bilateral relations between the two friendly nations and peoples toward broader horizons across various levels.

His Excellency the President highly praised the stances of the friendly Republic of Germany in support of the Yemeni people and their legitimate leadership, as well as Germany’s efforts to alleviate the humanitarian suffering caused by the Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militias.
