
President Al-Alimi Offers Condolences on Passing of Dr. Fadl Abu Ghanem, Member of Shura Council

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, sent a cable of condolences and sympathy to to Ali Fadl Abu Ghanem and his brothers on the passing of their father, Dr. Fadl Ali Abu Ghanem, a member of the Shura Council, former Minister of Education, and a prominent academic and national figure. Dr. Abu Ghanem passed away today, Friday, after a lifetime of dedicated service to his country and the advancement of his people.
On behalf of himself, the members of the Council, and the government, the President expressed his profound sorrow and sincere condolences to the family of Dr. Fadl Abu Ghanem, his brothers, colleagues, students, and all members of the Abu Ghanem family and the Arhab tribe, offering solace for their profound loss.
His Excellency the President praised the distinguished career of the late Dr. Fadl Abu Ghanem, highlighting his significant contributions to the nation through his academic, political, administrative, and social contributions. Dr. Abu Ghanem held numerous academic and leadership positions, most notably as Minister of Education and a member of the Shura Council. The President also commended the deceased’s extensive legacy as a researcher and lecturer, who enriched Yemeni library with numerous publications, books, and educational, political, and social studies.
His Excellency noted that with the passing of Dr. Fadl Abu Ghanem, Yemen has lost one of its most distinguished national academic and administrative figures. His Excellency prayed to Allah Almighty to bestow His mercy upon the deceased, and inspire his family and loved ones with patience and solace.
